InkTank Magazine on Hiatus

Published on Tuesday, 06 March 2012

Dear Readers and Contributors,

As of immediately InkTank Magazine is suspending all activities and is going on hiatus. It's been a hard decision to make, but over the last months we've had several developments within our team. We were all freshly graduated students, and many of us were presented with new opportunities too lucrative to pass by. We'd like to thank all our past editors for their hard work, and wish them the best of luck in their future endeavours.

Never the less, this has left the magazine in a perilous position. With the current staff levels we have, we are unable to give each submission the time it deserves. Instead of disrespecting our contributors, we've opted to put future issues on hold until a time that we can reasonably operate, and work with each piece.

We'd like to thank all our regular readers for visiting often, and would like to apologize for the lack of updates over the last few weeks.

Issue #6: inside(Out)

Published on Wednesday, 01 February 2012

February's issue "inside(Out)" is not currently live. It is not a celebration of inversions, and inside out socks. We hope you thought of Simpson's episodes from the prattle. You can't read the issue by clicking here.

MiniCast #1: Formatting Submissions for Publications

Published on Friday, 10 February 2012

Blair's computer got hungry and ate most of the podcast we recorded for this month. So instead of leaving you lot hungry for another 45 minutes of writing jibber-jabber, Blair recorded a mini-podcast (possibly the first of many) talking about how to properly format your submissions for publication. Surprise surprise, there are some conventions that most editor's like and/or require when reading submissions.

Call for Submissions: inside(Out)

Published on Tuesday, 03 January 2012

Ever accidentally wear your socks inside out? Your whole day just doesn't feel right. In February InkTank will present the inside(Out) issue to address and embrace all those internal/external mix-ups. Be it a story about a Freudian slip, or a poem of indecent exposure. We request you explore the deepest inner sanctums, or the banal secrets orbiting all of us. Bash boundaries, bust borders, just let it all hang out, or inversely stick it where it doesn't belong. We're cool with whatever way you want to do it.

The issue will launch on February 1st, but we will be accepting submissions through to Februrary 22th 2012. Submit early to ensure your piece will receive the most consideration. And as always, please review our Submission Guidelines before submitting.

Issue #5: Waste

Published on Sunday, 01 January 2012

The January issue of InkTank Magazine is dedicated to fungi, rotifers, and clamshell packaging. As always to read the issue you can click the cover above, or click here.

New Year, New Format

Published on Sunday, 01 January 2012

Dearest Readers,

If you came to the site at the first moment of the new year expecting a stinking issue of waste, we're sorry to have disappointed you. Due to some hectic schedules the issue was uploaded a little late, but it is now live.

If you've already taken a peek at the table of contents you may think it is quite a bit shorter than usual. It's always been InkTank's goal to move towards more frequent updates to the site. We felt the bi-weekly releases were successful for the past two issues, so we've decided to experiment some more. Starting in January InkTank will move to an intermittent weekly release. Every week we will have several new pieces of content uploaded to the website. Once we dial in our schedules better, we may set a weekly schedule for content releases. Until then you'll just have to check back regularly for new stuff, or like our facebook page, or follow us on twitter to get the latest updates. We're in the process of updating our submission guidelines accordingly.
